Overview
Objectives
By the end of the presentation, attendees should be able to:
- Understand the challenges and issues for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hawaii seeking housing.
- Understand the changes in state and federal housing-related legislation and how to address them.
- Describe various housing models that can be considered by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make the most appropriate decision for themselves.
- Understand how federal, state, and county policy makers can help and how to advocate for more intellectual and developmental disability housing.
Registration
Registration is free for Pac Rim registrants and Hawaii Housing Coalition members (contact kellem@hawaii.edu for the discount code). The cost for this CBI is $10 for the public. Attendance is limited.
If you are a Pac Rim registrant, select this CBI as an additional session under “Sessions” when you register. If you are not attending Pac Rim, select the “Pre-/Post-Events Only” Registration Type before selecting this CBI.
