Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteer Shifts
Volunteer shifts will take place during the 2026 Pac Rim Conference from 7 AM to 6 PM.
Please plan to volunteer for either one full day, or two half days over the two conference days (Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29, 2026) in order to receive a complimentary conference registration.
There are limited opportunities to volunteer on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 for Conference set-up; this will involve lifting and carrying material.
Volunteer Positions
Floater Session Monitor (15 positions)
Assist presenters, communicate with tech support team, monitor the time, make sure the room is accessible, help attendees if needed, and provide help with the Whova App for session feedback.
Greeters, Lunch, and Reception Monitors (6 positions)
Provide direction, guidance, and assistance for conference participants and conference presenters. Assist people in finding what they are looking for at the venue. Support monitoring conference rooms.
Information Table / Accessibility Table (6 positions)
Be a point of contact at the information table, where attendees will stop for assistance or guidance. Direct conference participants and connect them to any form of assistance needed.
Poster Session Room Monitor (2 positions)
Work with Greeters to provide direction and guidance for conference participants and poster presenters to guarantee smooth procedures. Experience the unique atmosphere of poster presentations.
Exhibitor Liaison (4 positions)
Work with Floaters and Greeters to provide direction and guidance for conference participants and exhibitors. Direct people in the room to guarantee smooth procedures.
Volunteer Training Sessions
Volunteer training sessions will be provided via a hybrid format.
